Pagoda Long Bar & Restaurant

Nicer than we expected so good value for money. Downside were the slow lifts and decor a little run down. Highlight was the lovely pool, comfortable bed and friendly staff. We stayed in room 325 with a balcony overlooking the pool with city and river glimpses. Room service food was delicious! We shared a vegetarian 3 egg omelette and the pancakes both mornings of our stay and I will be dreaming of both for weeks to come!!! Unfortunately no pool service and a bit of a walk into hotel to order. Also not able to eat by the pool. Treat yourself to a walk over the bridge to river for a sunset or walk to the jetty to see what the locals are catching.

We waited 45 minutes to be served our lunch. The food was cold and inedible so we sent all 3 back. We were assured they would not just heat it up in the microwave but make fresh plates. After waiting another 15 minutes, all 3 came back with the protein heated but the vegetables still cold. We sent them back and declined to order anything else. To add insult to injury, they charge us for the couple of beverages we had whilst waiting for our food even after the waitress said we would not be charged. What was extremely dangerous was the bottle of water place on our table that had mould growing all around the inside of the bottle.

The Pagoda is in Melville Parade, Como, facing the Swan River. The bar is impressive, it's a great place to meet for a drink. The restaurant serves great steaks, it's also well-known for functions, The Pagoda has been around for as long as I can remember; it's still going strong.

A lovely High Tea lunch at the Waterfall Restaurant in this lovely establishment. Our school reunion members were treated to a glass of bubbly and delicious petit sweets and savouries with a variety of teas and coffee. Too much to eat and we enjoyed every minute.

Welcoming Service nice table overlooking the pool . We only had a Squid Salad and A Lamb Shoulder but both were excellent , Will definitely be back
