Gasthaus Paradies - Reservar uma mesa

Nestled on the banks of the Rhine between Schaffhausen and Diesenhofen, this place is under-rated and under-advertised, which is a great thing, or you'd never find a table. The Rhine flows by and the staff and food gel with the ambience. In summer and on...warmer days, you have boating docks and swim areas right next to you, if you're looking for an all-day affair. The food is not too expensive (by Swiss standards, of course). The menu is well thought out. Nothing special- the basic salads, soups, appetizers and entrees- but very flavourful. My husband's grew up in Shaffhausen and we enjoy a meal at the Gasthaus Paradies whenever we visit his family. The salads are fresh and beautifully prepared. I have always enjoyed the Egli-Knusperli (freshwater fish) and my husband generally has the Wurst-Käsesalat for lunch or...Rehpfeffer if it's in season. The patio is also a fine place to relax over a glass of wine or beer and watch the boats go by.

we had a business meeting in the palpitate paradies and went minutes to the restaurant paradies and enjoyed the great selection of dressed and drinks, as it was a little windy, we decided to sit inside but have the best environment I recommend to sit outside (if the weather allowed), as the dining area is quite tight and maybe a little loud when fully booked.

great location on the Rhine. had a wonderful asparagus salad with cottage cheese. great cocktail. fresh strawberry with cream as a closure for a beautiful and relaxing lunch. the staff is very nice and friendly.

they can have a table above the crystal clear Rhine and observe the trout. Service-Prompt and attentive. Eat delicious unique in sight
