Park Avenue Pub In Des Mo

The Park Avenue Pub is a longstanding establishment on the Southside of Des Moines that has remained largely unchanged over the years. It continues to operate during regular pub hours and participates in local pool league tournaments. If you're seeking a fancy atmosphere, this may not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a traditional and laid-back watering hole to enjoy a meal, this is the spot for you. A few of us still gather on Saturdays for delicious sausage sandwiches and a couple of beers, which are always tasty and reasonably priced. Additionally, there is ample parking available in the back.

The bartender showed a very unfriendly attitude and ignored my request to stop serving my friend. Instead, they gave him another drink and then kicked us out while we were in the middle of a tornado warning. This left us with no choice but to walk, order an Uber, or walk in the rain and potential tornado. The atmosphere was average, resembling a dive bar.
