Pastelaria Tavirense

We have been looking for bacalhau fritters but not seen them but chanced upon this bakery one morning while looking for a place for breakfast so were delighted when we saw they had them available. Went a bit crazy and ordered 4 bacalhau fritters, as well as 2 pasteis de nata, a chicken pie, a Swiss roll/ roulade thing. The bacalhau fritters were very tasty as was the chicken pie pastry on the pie was really good but could have done with more filling. The pasteis de nata were cold, so don't think they were baked fresh that morning which was a shame. There certainly wasn't the signature crisp pastry you would expect. We came in the morning for coffee and a nata it was very busy with the morning workers and locals but the coffee and nata was good Great desserts great service clean friendly and lots of choice the coffee was fantastic !

This was a place we had headed for off the train when we stayed in Faro a few years ago. The natal and tarts still tase delicious and they make great coffee. Nicely air-conditioned interior. Loos are a plus.

We had been eyeing the glass cases of fancy looking desserts every time we passed by. So we finally went in and indulged with an almond tart and chocolate/orange jelly roll type confection. Delicious. Reserve uma mesa agora

Lovely little cafe serving coffee and cakes . Really nice cakes and lovely staff. Worth a visit or two
