I am sorry to say.... We will not be going here again.... Which is sad for me as I grew up going to this restaurant and have many good memories there. We just had a concert in Tinley and my husband and I said Petey’s for sure!!! Our friends were hesitant but trusted us. Well it was a disaster! When we walked in no reso) we had to wait about 7 minutes for anyone to come to the desk to seat us I was on the phone) The place smelled not just like water damage or mold but something more ???? Then our friends arrive, only to hear the man that came to the desk say, that he “can not sit us” they are under staffed. Some people didn’t show up. For someone unfamiliar with the history I have, they might rate this restaurant between 4 and 5 stars. I worked there in the early '80s, before the original building burned down, when Sam was the general manager. The food back then was fantastic and distinctly different. However, since Sam moved on and the restaurant was rebuilt, it just hasn't been the same. As for Orland Park, this restaurant has been a staple longer than most others in the area, but the town itself has seen a decline as well. I absolutely love this restaurant! The atmosphere is lovely, and the service was exceptional, just as it always is. We had Debbie as our server again, and she was fantastic! Their martinis are simply the best!
