Petra - Reservar uma mesa

We had a group of 11 and the server was a very nice young man. He communicated well with the group, but considering it was not busy, things were slowly delivered from the bar and back of the house, which was not his fault. My Cadillac Margarita was good, but small for the $13 price. All Sodas were replaced as soon as they were half full, which was good. We asked the children to be fed first and he made it happen. I ordered the Chili Relleno. It was very good. The pepper was not mush and the bread was crisp with chili con carne red sauce on top (children like chili, but more of a Mexican flare. Immediately upon sitting down, I was served chips and salsa with two different salsa options, one red and one green. Both salsas had a good flavor. However, I ended up waiting a long time for my food. Feeling very hungry as I hadn't eaten all day, I went inside to the bar to ask for a server and order a beer. The first beer I was served was warm, so I requested a cold one. The bartender explained that he had just put them in the fridge. Finally, the server came out and took my order. I decided on a sour cream enchilada and a Baja fish taco (without tomato or onion) served with rice and borracho beans. I don't know what to say about this place. The chips and salsa was the only reason for two stars. Chips and salsa was good, but that's a cover for the terrible food. We ordered marinated carne asada skirt steak and it was so tough we couldn't eat it. It was NOT marinated in anything but butter. It was not skirt steak at all. It was so rare. I ordered ground beef tacos on corn and it came out on flour and there was NO flavor. I mean no flavor like straight ground beef. It was awful. Husband ordered beer, guess what, it was flat. It just was not meant to be for us. We will not be going back.

A friend and I had eaten a Petra today and it was great! We were greeted and immediately sat at a table. Our drinks with chips and salsa were on the table in no time. Our server knew the menu and menu options and we asked for replacement. Our order was accepted and our food was on the table in less than 10 minutes. Everything was fresh and as we had ordered it! Everything was extremely clean and the ambience was perfect. Many windows with great music play throughout the restaurant! Whatever you do... Don't forget to order the Queen!

Great place for lunch! Took a friend there for his birthday and they gave us a free dessert! Everything was really good.
