Philz Coffee - Reservar uma mesa

I am disappointed to share that after contacting headquarters to inquire about the status of the Navy Yard location, I was informed that Philz Coffee has decided to exit the DC Metro market. This news is particularly tough for me as Philz was my favorite spot and the baristas here helped make DC feel like home (Bay Area). Today, I am feeling a bit down as I search for a new go-to coffee shop. It won't be difficult to find one, but Philz will definitely be missed.

I like Philz. Price-wise, it's comparable to most of the local shops around. A medium iced coffee beverage will usually cost $6.85, but the coffee is reliable and they have an interesting variety of drinks. I really liked their seasonal summer mint, lime iced coffee. They even add fresh mint leaves to the drink. The atmosphere is nice, both inside and outside!

Philz has served a vegan breakfast sandwich with vegan egg, cheese and sausage on an English muffin. You also have coffee drinks that you can add a number of vegetable milk. Unfortunately, they are charged for plant-based milk. Overall, this place is quite expensive and I prefer Gregory's coffee.

It is disappointing that they will not allow you to use your own reusable mug. Great coffee and great service but I am not sure why avoiding waste is not a priority.

This is the best coffee in the area. Really hope it doesn't close its Navy Yard location!
