Phoenix Food Delivery

The worst Cantonese dishes we ever tasted!! The first one bite on wonton soup made me a bad feeling; why we chose to come in here? Well, we’re very hungry after playing golf so made a 180 degrees turn just before 4 km away from home. We decided to try this place as we’d never done. A very small smorg! Shame to use the Swedish traditional dish name-not comparable to the Swedish famous cousins. (They should have searched well what does “Smorg” really mean. After we expressed “is the chef professionally trained and experienced?”. A lady “chef” came out and told, you should have ordered the stuff off the menu!. We won’t eat in here again.

The Restaurant was recommended as the best in Ladysmith. I was very disappointed. I ordered Chicken Chow Mein and Almond Chicken. While eating the Chow Mein I came across two chicken bones which were large enough to get caught in the throat. The explanation was not sorry but we cook our own chicken and strip the meat and that happens. They offered another meal but my appetite was gone. No discount at til either. My last meal here.

I had never been to the Phoenix but was invited by friends who assured me the food was great. They were right the food was excellent, I will definitely be back.

The food is just terrible. Dry and bland. The owner will try to keep all change from a delivery. The Wigwam is around the corner. Go there

Good food, good service. Not overpriced. Customer based and definitely not crowded. The most overlooked restaurant in Ladysmith.
