Piazza Del Teatro Chez Gigi Vicenza

Fabulous authentic Italian, a welcome change from the ubiquitous Provençal fish. Gigi is gregarious and attentive, describing every dish, constantly smiling and hugging customers! The amuse of copa and provelone served with aperos was great. Every reviewer rightly raves about the ravioli with truffe ... Not a hint of truffe but SMOTHERED ! The veal valdestona was fabulous with a large side of spicy pasta. Escargot and beef braseola were both wonderful starters. Great evening with entertainment happily provided by Gigi and Vincenza! Of course, the lemoncelo at the end! Fabulous meal, great value. Be sure to book this smallish place filled with locals.

The restaurant is located in a small street, easily overlooked. The food is nice, friendly service. Look for their recommendations, i had the Aubergine alla Parmigiana, which was lovely. Portions not too big, but fairly priced. Ended the night with a cafe gourmand, which gives you a selection of their homemade desserts (creme brulee, tiramisu, panna cotta). Worth it.

Food: good Italian. Wine list good but no decent half-bottles. Service started well when very few people dining but then tailed off. Manageress/owner rather in your face she actually sat down at my table, without invitation . Nevertheless a good diner the wine was excellent though I didn't really want a whole bottle

We visited Piazza Del Teatro a late evening. We had ravioli with truffle sauce and that was very good. We also had spaghetti vongole, but unfortunately the chef forgot to taste on the food. It seemed like it was without salt a shame. Good wine to fair prices.

Nice food and very friendly service. A good place to go with kids. Only open on Wednesday and Saturday for lunch.
