Picnic - Reservar uma mesa

Chocolate cake and pear/ white chocolate cake were terrific. Worth every calorie. All lovely except for one weird thing, which was that they’d adopted the awful new habit of not actually making proper tea, just handing you a teapot of no longer boiling water and a teabag to dip in it like some tisane. The waitress had left the teabag in the other room! Barbarous newfangled practice invented by people who only drink coffee themselves, and think tea is a lukewarm herbal remedy. What is the world coming to, etc. It is essential that the tea is in the pot first, and boiling, not just hot, water is poured into it. I’m not sure why I brewed tea has become trendy but I hope it stops soon.

Eight of us turned up for Saturday brunch and after a brief wait for a table we enjoyed delicious food with great service which was quick and friendly despite there being an obvious pressure on the staff who were flat out serving and preparing. We also enjoyed browsing the gift items for sale.

Really friendly people! Very tasty homemade food and good selection! Also very importantly the coffee was good! It was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather! We will definitely go back!

Always delicious, with lovely staff. Today we had the ham, gruyere and dijon French toast topped with an egg...genius...what a brilliant idea. Too full for cake though which was a shame!!!

A brilliant team that welcome you as soon as you step in the door. Coffee is to die for. The menu is varied, beautifully presented, and wonderfully cooked.
