Pier 77 & The Ramp

After reading positive reviews, my family and I were eager to try out this new restaurant. This is my 1st negative review having truly enjoyed fine tables such as Five-0 and Northern Union in Ogunquit or Via Sophia in Kbpt. This restaurant is not one I could recommend for several reasons: We ordered 4 items from the raw bar: petite oysters, tuna carpaccio, sea bass crudo and scallops ceviche.The crudo was the best plate we had all evening,it was well seasoned and the tomato water paired well. Both the carpaccio and the ceviche were too vinegary (as if a jar of capers had been poured on the tuna). The oysters never came as no one informed our server that they were out of that item. This spot was suggested by a local, as we were traveling from out of state. The manager, Jeff, was courteous, kind, and accommodating. The aesthetic was a blend of 1920’s and art deco. It was elegant and beautiful. The food was fresh, delectable, and beautifully presented. Our waitress, Lexi, was vivacious, flattering, and attentive. She made us feel welcomed and cared for. Overall service was a 10 out of 10.

Too many negatives . Food was horrible . Waiters delivered 1 side and 2 main courses . 15 minutes later received 2 more entrees . 15 minutes later the last 2 entrees . All come .undercooked ir overcooked . I asked why every dish was served 15 minutes apart . Answer .. “ they do t want them to sit” I cannot even tell you every bad thing . It began in the parking g lot with the valet . Don’t eat here ..

They have done a great job with interior. My lobster spaghetti was very salty. The Gruner wine tasted as though it had oxidized. My second glass of Chardonnay was excellent. The table was too small for four people no place to put the menus. Others were happy with their food quality. Portions were small and the a la carte menu rolled up a fairly steep bill.

10 out of 10 would recommend! Outstanding staff and food and a beautiful view. Easy to book reservations online.
