I have been searching FOOORREEEVVVEERRR for a BBQ Spot since I moved here and let me tell you ??? BALL HOGGS BBQ is the truth ???Their ribs, brisket, chicken, Mac n cheese, baked beans and green beans is by far better than any other place I have had (and I've had A LOT) ??Their interior decor was built by kids and the chairs were made for Kings and Queens. The staff was friendly and very professional and I felt like I was at a family BBQ... seriously....I had the luxury of listening to some karaoke from WSAN Radio who was hosting an event there and it felt like a church picnic. I went in on my lunch for work and I'm not from that side of town so I went in trying to find a good bbw place where I was working. When I say that brisket grilled cheese sandwich was DELICIOUS! Better brisket than what I've had at Blanco BBQ before and the lady working was extremely sweet and checking in on me. Parking was easy, loved the atmosphere and the owner came out to say hello too and make sure it was all to my liking. I ended up getting the sandwich and a side and I forgot the price because it was that good. You'll be seeing me again even if I have to go out of my way!
Pretty pricey and the food is okay, menu is pretty small as well. When I went there were only 3 side options. I got a sausage sandwich $7 potato salad $3.50 and beans $3.50. I believe for a plate with one meat and one side it was around $14. The sausage sandwich came on regular white bread. Sausage was okay, comparable to ones you can find at H-E-B in my opinion. The potato salad was good, on the sweeter side. Same with the beans. The price is a little steep for what you get. Don’t think I’d go out of my way to go back.
Probably the worst experience I’ve had in a while it took them 20 minutes just to get our drinks. There were seven of us. We all had the same experience. The brisket was paper thin and very overpriced. Definitely wasn’t impressed. Some of us waited almost an hour to get our food, and they still haven’t gotten their drinks. A couple weeks later some coworkers went in against our advise not to and had the exact same experience.I’d hit bill millers before this place again
