On Tripadvisor as well as on the Google ratings this pizzeria appeared in the top 3, so we decided to go there. The service was very friendly and fast. Unfortunately this is really the only positive thing to say. The pizzas were really disgusting. Dough...and sauce were bland, all ingredients (mushrooms, artichokes, etc. were clearly from the can and were correspondingly watery and disgusted me to eat. The salami on my friend 's pizza was also of very bad quality. We were very disappointed because we were actually looking forward to a real pizza in Ticino.
We found this pizzeria on trip advisor as one of best in the city and we weren't happy with our choice. We had a good salad for a starter. Pizza wasn't so tasty as we expected and in fact we were done with our dinner after half plate. We choose a Glas of vine from a very ordinary menu, not knowing an age or place of production. Wine wasn't good neither. We didn't feel like to have a dessert but they serve homemade ice cream which I believe are better than pizza, so maybe one day will back to have a dessert in this place. Not recommend for a family dinner.
This is a simple no-nonsense place. The menu offers almost exclusively their brick-oven pizzas, and some gelatos. The staff is efficient and courteous, and the terrace is spacious, quiet and enjoyable although not offering any stunning views of Locarno's old town. The pizza however really...is worth going there! Very tasty, the dough remains crusty even when the pizza is colder. Delicious. Very reasonable prices.
