Pizzeria Italia Nicolo Avarello

This was quite an unexpected discovery while searching for long term accomodation throughout the city. Situated behind the Perrace railway station we had an excellent dinner here. The owners are originally from Catanisetta in Sicily and very friendly. I chose the pizza du chef which was excellent and we then tried panacoota and tiramisu. Delicious Italian deserts. Try also the local Negro di Tavola sicilian wine.

We went here twice for our evening meal, when staying at a nearby hotel. Traditional family run pizzeria serves good quality, good value, simple Italian food. Efficient service. Seems to close early about 9.30pm on quiet evenings. Recommended.

Ate here recently with my sons and was amazed at the amount of food. We had the antipasto platter huge), spaghetti and pizza. All solid plates, tasty and pleasant. The chilli olive for the bread was fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Closest good restaurant to the Gare Perrache, recommended by our hotel. Very good salad and pasta dish plus desserts. Good, friendly folks. Seems to be a favorite of the locals.

The restaurant is owned by a Italian family. The service was really good and the pizza really tasty like in Italy. I recommend you to go there.
