Pody's Bbq - Reservar uma mesa

I am in Pecos for about 2 months, and knew about this place from previous reviews. It's wonderful. I had the brisket twice both times. Large portion, super moist, very tasty. I also tried the pecan pie (made in the house and comes with fresh whipped cream), and banana pudding (eyes). Service is family-oriented and friendly, and food comes within about 10 minutes. They are only open 11 2, Wed Fri, and they sell, so come before ANNEX If you want authentic Texas BBQ, this place makes the note.

I am tempted to drive the 9 hrs. for the Pecos Spud and the pork ribs. Was on a road trip three years ago coming back from Atlanta with my family and wanted to try the BBQ in Texas. So we randomly selected PODY's after googling places right off the interstate. It was a GREAT choice!!! I have craved the brisket and pork ribs every since. Hands down it's the BEST brisket I've ever had and the pork ribs were delicious! :

It was pretty good, not great. It was quite expensive. It was $18 for the 3 meat plate. I was a little disappointed that they gave me only 1 rib as one of the flesh. I think it should have been at least two bones. They gave me a good amount of brisket, but about 20% of it was fat and I threw it out. Otherwise it's a decent place. I think Dicky's a little better. IMO.

Stunning on this place with my wife while driving through Pecos and had no idea that they have a reputation of the best BBQ in Texas. We were both pleasantly surprised as our food was amazing. Came fast and the taste was perfect. Very recommended.

Seriously big BBQ. Had the brisket and sausage when they left the only meat options, and they were both fantastic best brisket I had and an incredibly generous portion for only $15.50 (2 meats, 2 pages). I'm grateful they were from Mac.
