Poets House Afternoon Tea

The venue is lovely, with beautiful decor and a serene ambiance. The food was decent, though nothing extraordinary. However, the service was disappointing. The hostess who seated us forgot our reservation, and the server who brought our afternoon tea didn’t explain the items we were being served. We weren’t offered any refills on our tea or coffee, even though we were entitled to them, and we had to request napkins. Overall, while the service wasn’t terrible, I expected more given the price.

We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday with a delightful tea. The portions were so generous that we had to take some home. The staff were fantastic, and the venue felt very safe in terms of COVID precautions. I would recommend this place for a peaceful afternoon, especially on a rainy day.
