I have a fondness for Polpo restaurants in Soho and at Ape Bird near Covent Garden, so when I stumbled upon their newest location while on my way to The Saatchi Gallery, it felt like destiny. I decided to sit outside on a pleasant day and waited quite a while to place my order. The service was not very efficient, as I had to desperately signal my waitress for water, food, and the bill. Despite the slow service, the food was just as amazing as at their other locations. The broccolini, ricotta, hazelnut chili bruschetta was delicious and filling. Small plates at Polpo in Sloane Square, London offer a unique dining experience. The idea is to order multiple plates to share (recommended 2 per person) so you can try a variety of dishes without overeating. We ordered frito misto, spinach pizza, onion pizza, arrancini, and falafel meatballs. The best dish was the falafel meatballs with a rich tomato sauce and chunky balls that won't make you miss meat. The worst dish was the arrancini which was poorly made and bland. The atmosphere is relaxed and if it's sunny, outdoor seating is recommended. This restaurant is a fantastic choice in the heart of Chelsea, perfect for shopping and visiting the Saatchi Gallery. We enjoyed a delicious meal and my children especially loved the pasta and pizza options. As soon as we were seated, they were given drawing materials and crayons to keep them entertained. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The beef shin pasta and tiramisu were particularly outstanding dishes.

Welcoming, smiley, friendly staff. Great service and vegan gluten free options too. Surprisingly pleasant experience, during heavy rain, Polpo team served well. Keep up the good work and thank you for being down to earth.

Plenty of outdoor seating hidden away behind the Kings Road. The Resturant offers a lovely selection of small plates perfect for sharing. Every dish tasted amazing and reasonably priced.
