Portobanco's - Reservar mesa

We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon at 6pm. The menu is only available on a phone, which may not be suitable for older individuals not comfortable with technology. There is no paper menu available. This is a Nicaraguan restaurant, so we decided to try a Nicaraguan beer. Unfortunately, my beer took 17 minutes to arrive and the waiter didn't seem to know how to properly pour it, leading to a lot of foam. After three rounds of beer, the empty bottles were not cleared from the table. As for the food, we had almost forgotten we had even ordered any. I almost gave this restaurant a 1-star rating, but the food was decent. However, the service was terrible. They took my drink order but never brought it to me. Another waitress eventually took my order 25 minutes later. I had a hard time getting anyone's attention to order something or get a refill, even though it wasn't busy. I had the Cacao, which was delicious, and the Fritanga, which was okay. The prices were high, with a side of cream costing $4, tostones costing $5, and the drink itself costing $8. Overall, the experience was below average, which was disappointing as my wife is Nicaraguan and I was excited to try this restaurant.

The food is good the only problem is that my sister ask for Sea food soup the waitress told her she needed to wait 30 minutes for the soup. If you come into a restaurant, I don't think they need to tell you how long you need to wait for the food if that is what you want. Our other food that we order took 30 minutes, so she would have had time to get her soup. I just think you need to respect what the customer wants. Not tell them what will take the least time to me.

Food was good but the service was not matching the hype. I know my gente de Nicaragüense has attitude but why work where you're not happy.. the so/so service took away the good ambience that it tries to sell you in their selling point. But the food is good. I'll give it another try, given that this place is considered a High Class Nicaraguan restaurant.. I do recommend the pancho pantera drink. We celebrated three birthdays simultaneously at this restaurant. The owner and chef, Mr. Portobanco, always made sure to attend to all of our needs. The food and service were excellent, offering authentic Nicaraguan cuisine. Food rating: 5 out of 5.

Food is amazing , customer service is ok . Parking is very difficult and they don't have a open bar . Other the that food is really good
