so If you like rustic, authentic, regional and homemade home grown this is the place for you. To start with the setting is beyond comparison with views across the Picos. The food is simple, very simple but absolutely delicious. If you like your steak the t bone and the sirloin come from local herds one of the best steaks I have had and reasonably priced given the provenance. Everything else about the meal was excellent value from the house wine at 4.50 euros a bottle to the homemade dessert at 4.50 euros and again the homemade creme caramel was like nothing I have ever tasted. Service excellent and friendly. This place won’t be to everyone’s taste but for some it will be just the ticket.

Hemos permanecido dos días mi compañero y yo y sólo podemos decir que ha sido excelente todo... Primero la posada está en un lugar extraordinario en el corazón de Cantabria. Es verdad que tienes que ir un largo camino con curvas pero ciertamente vale la pena. Potes está a 15 minutos en coche, también hay varios pueblos cercanos muy agradable. La amabilidad del personal te hizo sentir como en casa. Siempre listo para recomendar lugares para visitar. La habitación era un loft, en nuestro caso con dos camas súper cómodas y sin ruido. El desayuno tuvo un brindis con mermelada casera, café y un dulce casero que hicieron allí. Sin duda un lugar maravilloso para alojarse en Cantabria.

Visited for lunch, the restaurant is attractively located up on the hillside not too far from Potes and in good weather there is a great view of the surrounding mountains. We sat inside and the service was reasonably good. Unfortunately neither of us were particularly impressed by the food. My partner had the eggs with mushrooms which was OK but nothing special. I had the baby artichokes with ham which I found quite oily and sat heavily in the stomach, the taste repeating for the rest of the day. We didn't stay for any further courses.

The view is equaled only by the food. To be able to sit on their terrace with unobstructed views of the Picos de Europa and eat great food is a luxury. Total silence in the hills, total satisfaction with the a la carte menu and wine list, both of which included my favourites; chuleton and Protos red wine. Btw, car parking is right next to the restaurant, don’t walk up the hill !

Entorno espectacular, las vistas son maravillosas. Un trato muy agradable y profesional. La calidad de los productos es sublime.
