I visited the Commack Diner on Saturday, August 1, 2009, and everything was fine — the food, the service, and so on. At some point, I needed to use the men's restroom, which seemed uneventful at first. However, after I finished, I was taken aback — shocked, actually — to find a woman in the restroom. She was a friendly cleaning staff member, simply going about her work. I was still at the urinal and found the situation quite odd and somewhat uncomfortable. Yet, she just smiled and continued cleaning as if it were completely normal! It made me wonder what it would be like if a male cleaner were in the ladies' room! The food was quite good, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff that truly enhanced the meal, thus deserving a perfect score of 5. The atmosphere was pleasant as well, providing a nice backdrop for a morning meal, rated at 4 out of 5. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for breakfast!

What a fantastic place! The waiter was outstanding and very friendly, with a wonderful sense of humor. Be prepared for enormous portion sizes! We didn't realize that dinner also included dessert—what a pleasant surprise. I had the Chicken Parmesan, which was delicious. The soup was tasty, and the salad was excellent too. Large portions of gratuitously dinner foods like salad, should and budgets, chicken prorated different ways, pasta, drinks, etc. Good if you're staying next door in the Hampton Inn and want a meal without fighting traffic. One of the better diners. A really good diner. The food is delicious, and of course there is a lot of it. It is always crowded at meals, but you can easily take. The place is always clean, and they turn it around very efficiently without rushing. Among all Diners on Long Island, I don't think you can find a better one.
