Primo - Reservar uma mesa

Primo used to be our favorite. We have been 4 5 times and each time it was sensational, our favorite. Until our first visit this year. We were seated in the window, however waited 15 minutes to order drinks, by this stage we also just ordered food straight away. Food came out about 30 minutes later. The quality has dropped. Seafood pasta was nowhere near as good as it was in the past. Produce didn't taste as fresh and prawn tails left on why? The white guy pizza (4cheese) was overloaded with cheese and could barely taste the caramelized onions. The addition of parmesan on top also makes this dish not vegetarian. One of our party has coeliacs and we all really enjoyed the food and cosy atmosphere of the place. The crust on the pizza is amazing, however the toppings were a bit sparse, wines were super expensive and service was slow. The booths are also a very tight fit (even for our super skinny visitors) and the wait staff never asked whether we wanted gluten free or not despite us mentioning when we booked that we have someone with coeliacs at our table. We waited ages for someone to come take our order as there were only two people serving and taking orders AND doing the checks of people coming into the restaurant. I went to this restaurant with friends I hadn't seen in 3 years. We booked a table for 7 pm and had to wait for it, but that was fine. We ordered 5 pizzas, calamari for starters, and a bottle of wine. About an hour later, we were informed that we had to finish up as there was another booking for the table. Despite planning on having dessert and another bottle of wine, we decided to finish up and go to a bar nearby. However, just 10 minutes later, a man came to our table and rudely asked us how many times we needed to be told to leave. Confused, we explained we had only been asked once before. Headed to our favourite wine bar in Westgarth on Sunday arvo only to find it was closed. Luck would have it we found Primo instead. We sat out front and ordered drinks while deciding what to eat. I ordered a Negroni and it was spot on and my partner loved the Rosé. For eats we settled on the Lamborghini pizza but as not a fan of slow cooked lamb on pizza we requested to swap for sopressa and it was delicious, one of the best pizzas we’d had for awhile. To complement the pizza we ordered the Rigatoni and it was excellent. To finish of we ordered the sticky date pudding and was equally impressed. Thank you and we’ll be back.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious! It satisfied my cravings perfectly. The service was fantastic, but the handmade gnocchi was absolutely incredible. I will be craving that dish for days to come!
