Public House - National Harbor

An absolutely awful dining experience from soup to nuts . Visiting from out of town, and this was the only restaurant in National Harbor with seating at 6 PM. I now know why. 1 Greeted by a waitress whose opening greeting to us was an explanation of the cheeses that the restaurant was out of ? . 2 Told that items that were literally printed on the menu were no longer on the menu . 3 Had to revise on order as the item ordered hush puppies were unavailable . 4 Orders delivered to the table were incorrect. 5 Items that should have been cold beer, for instance were warm, and items that should have been warm were cold. 6 Food was substandard. 7 Service was even worse.

Unfortunately, while it was easy to get a reservation for a large party the food was not tasty. The wings were overcooked, the chicken on the salad was dry and fajitas had no taste. There were able to accomodate the request on the salads. We had to signal for our server several times that a plate was dirty and there was no salad dressing on one of the salads. I will not recommend this restaurant. Thank you

after visiting the family in arlington cemetery we stopped for a late lunch. do not let the apathetic hostess keep her from it. the menu offered a wide view of the options beyond the typical bar eating, quite delicious, well prepared and enjoyed by all. the beer selection offered many options and cocktails were strong. We will be next time again at the gaylord.

Ac was not working. Asked the waiter she looked at us like it’s on. We sit there sweating and in discomfort. The manager comes by we ask him bout the AC he like yes it’s broke and we are working on it. So the whole experience was bad. Couldn’t enjoy and the waiter had us sitting there for 20 minutes waiting on the check, took another 20 to get the check.

It was incredibly hot (over 80F) in the restaurant. Our server told us the restaurant has no air conditioning or heat. It is remarkable that it is still in business.
