Rainforest Bar N Grill Restaurant

We get that the service industry is suffering and we always take that into account, but this was just not good. We tried Rainforest Bar and Grill for the first time. First, our waiter was probably the manager/owner. One guy for the entire place okay. Second, they charge 1.50 for water which I had to get up and refill (he was no where to be found). Enchiladas were good. Burrito ehh. We finish our meal and we wait, and wait...while the waiter is busy talking to another patron at the bar 5 feet away (so he wasn't overwhelmed). After 15 minutes, we finally got up and interuppted them to pay our bill. That is when we learn they charge for water. Seriously, they charge for tap water! We love comin...

What a fabulous place! It was the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time, sure wish they were in Atlanta! I had chips, salsa, guacamole, flour tortilla tacos that were plentiful, savory without being heavy using extremely fresh ingredients. Their margaritas were unlike any other I’ve ever had, extremely delicious. Combine all that with an inviting atmosphere, love the music, and a cheerful and helpful staff you get a great dining experience. Next time I’m in Highlands I’ll definitely be paying them a visit. We're in town from Philly for a wedding, and this place and staff were amazing! They embody what we've always heard about with southern hospitality. Kayla even went out of her way to indulge me on a very odd request to borrow one of the most amazing hats I've ever seen that will match perfectly with my suit that I'm wearing to a wedding this evening. Long story short aside from the amazing food a drinks here their hospitality was above and beyond, I'd recommend this place to anyone who comes to Highland NC. Oh almost forgot my wife loves quesadillas and she said there were hands down the best ones she's ever had. We even ordered some Togo to have after we get back from the wedding.

This restaurant was such a wonderful experience. From the delicious fresh food to the amazing service. The manager I believe her name was, Kayla, if I remember correctly, was the ultimate best. We are so happy we found such a great find. I can’t say enough great things about this place. I had the Limoncello mojito and the green apple margarita, and both were divine. Ate there for lunch. The food was amazing. Had tacos, enchiladas, and chicken tortilla soup. All were some of the best we have ever eaten. The enchiladas were the best I have ever had. Will definitely go back!
