Raku Japanese Cuisine

I haven't written a review in awhile... thank you Covid, but I did want to say something about this little gem in a sketchy strip mall in Harbor City. This is a small mom and pop operation and isn't a normal destination for food choices but after visiting here, I must say the tonkatsu was the best I've had. I tried the beef and chicken tonkatsu and the flakiness of the batter and the preparation was on point. I was not expecting to like this place as much as I do but it's now on my list for places with great tonkatsu. I am going back to try their other dishes shortly.

They probably have some of the best curry I have had in years. We ordered the beef, chicken, and pork Katsu plates. All of which were very good. We also ordered a side of their curry, which was definitely the stand out of the night. Their side salad is also really good. Overall, the only downside is the risky parking lot lol, but Raku is definitely the place to go to satisfy your katsu/curry cravings

I don't know why this restaurant is not more packed. Their katsu is made with homemade and fresh ingredients. My husband and I haven't had anything better before. This place deserves more business. I've also tried their salmon nigiri and the size of the fish cut was very generous compared to the rice. The salmon tasted great and not too fishy.

I would give this place a 4.5 stars. I found this place from ordering through UberEats. I ordered the Pork Katsu Roll combo and my husband ordered the Korean BBQ short ribs. We both liked it a lot. We definitely would like to dine in next time. We will definitely go back and try other dishes on the menu. Reserve uma mesa agora

Always has been my go-to place whenever I want to treat myself! It's been years since I first went here but their food has always remained the same Today, I was too lazy to go out so I had an order delivered. The food was still hot and quality was still superb. 10/10 would recommend!

Without a doubt, this is the best chicken katsu I've ever had! It was simply incredible—moist, light, crispy, and packed with flavor! The curry was also delicious. We will definitely be returning for more. I'm so happy we discovered this little gem!

The best cheese katsu I've ever had! The small bite-sized portions make it easy to enjoy, and the perfect balance of panko, meat, and cheese ensures that each bite is just as satisfying as the last. I highly recommend it—10/10!

Was a little disappointed they did not sell teriyaki plates or bento boxes when we went in to order. However, their rolls are fresh and delicious! Would definitely recommend their Washington Roll. Reserve uma mesa agora

Delicious katsu! The sauce is fantastic, and the portion sizes are generous. We visit this place frequently and have always had positive experiences.
