Rang Dong - Reservar uma mesa

Rang Dong is a wonderful, family run old school Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food and warm service. We got three dishes: banh xeo, bun boe hue, and a broken rice plate. The banh xeo was definitely the star of the evening: fresh, crisp, and extremely tasty. It was our first time getting this dish, and the auntie waiting on us was kind enough to show us how to roll the lettuce wraps. We were thinking this was an appetizer, but in reality it could have been either a full meal for one or an appetizer for 3 4 people. The bun boe hue was a generous portion with tender, fatty meat. My favorite spot for a Vietnamese specialized noodle: Bun Rieu (Tomato Soup). It's typically difficult to find a restaurant that make this soup with flavor. Rang Dong is by far the best I have tried as far as the Bun Rieu is concerned. The slow cooked pork ribs (falls off bone), the fried tofu, pork blood cake, egg soup scallions with bean sprouts, cilantro and slice jalapenos on the side. You'll be surprised of how tasty this soup is. Good Luck!

Good for Bun Rieu Bun Bo Hue (pictured). 11/12/2022: Quick stop before heading to the Oakland Zoo. Ordered the Bun Rieu Bun Bo Hue again. Same yummy taste; however, I've noticed that the noodles didn't have pork blood.

Happened here by chance and I’m glad I did. My beef noodle soup was delicate, flavorful and chock full of beef shank (which happens to be the ideal kind for this dish)
