Best meal in Austin? Yes. Came on a Thursday night as a friend was visiting with no reservation. We were super lucky to get a table, but make sure you get those reservations in advance!!! We started with the hot and crispy country Italian bread! It was good but honestly you can skip unless you absolutely need carbs! Red snapper crudo: Absolutely incredible. The smoked trout roe added another dimension to the crudo, and the sauce was just incredible. A must order.Thin sliced beef carpaccio: another must order. Wow, I am impressed. We recently moved to the area and have heard many great things about this place. I made reservations that were about 2 months out and definitely worth the wait!I thought it was just over hyped, but man was I wrong! We started with the charred sweet corn risotto and the beef carpaccio for our appetizer beef was high quality and melts in your mouth. The lemony zesty dressing adds a burst of flavor and pairs wonderfully with a glass of red wine. My all time favorite food is crab, so I had to get taglioini with fresh blue crab. If you love seafood pasta, I highly recommend their two pasta dishes Frutti Di Mare and Tagliolini w/fresh blue crab. Both were incredible and their portion sizes were big too, I honestly could of shared with my husband, but nahhh lol! While eating there, I was already trying to book my next reservation and the soonest I saw available on a weekend was a few months out, however our waiter suggested to talk to the hostess and so glad I did. Absolutely recommend. Obviously this is a super popular place, you'll know this if you've ever made a reservation. I took the first available time and it was 2 months out however it's well worth the wait! There is a parking lot right across the street from the restaurant which was super convenient. The service from every single staff member was excellent and the interior of the restaurant was beautiful. And of course the food was amazing, I have been dreaming of their Papparadelle Alla Bolognese ever since I tried it! A must visit if you are in Austin. This restaurant never fails. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of the food. House made pasta (they an in house gluten free alternative), lots of flavors, lots of butter! They have smaller portions for some of the plates, which allows you to get more variety to try. Bread is a must. It is impossible to get a reservation last minute, plan your visit far in advanced. There is a parking lot right across the street for those that drive.

From start to finish, everything was delicious! We had the bread, snapper crudo, capelletti, agnelotti, and gelato. To drink, the Satan's circus, then espresso martini. It was all pretty fabulous! Service was prompt, and food came out at good times and temps. We did wish we had gotten the bone marrow and will next visit!

Great food other than the restaurant caught fire while we were there and they proceeded to lower the blinds and lock people in while smoke was literally billowing down the street and no one knew what the heck was happening!
