Lunch Special BBQ Sandwhich Plate. Visited 09/09/2011 around 12:15pm As I opened my car door at the City Garage repair shop in Colleyville, I could smell the essence of Hickory smoke and knowing that there was a BBQ restaurant somewhere. As I got out of the car, I saw the sign to the left saying Red Barn Bar-B-Que. After talking to the technician at City Garage, I decided to try the Red Barn Bar-B-Que Restaurant since it was lunch time, I was hungry and I 'm glad I did! Great Grill Find. The area of Grapevine/Colleyville was not good to good BBQ restaurants, we have lost our Sonny Bryan 's a few years ago, and although others have tried to open along 121 in Colleyville, they have quickly failed. Charley Hall's petrol station on 121 and Glade has decent Que, but it closes at 5:00. The big chain in the area is Spring Creek, which has great roles and is consistent... but something bland. Instead, we found Red Barn BBQ on Hwy 26 on Glade Road and have repeatedly very good and consistent Que there. Good simple bar-B-Que. Great staff! Beautiful atmosphere.. When I think of a Bar-B-Que “Sang” that is the place that comes to mind. The “red barn” atmosphere is causal and welcoming... if you can get past the psychotic traffic and construction occupations. But certainly worth the fight. A Texas Style Bar-B-Que dive with the great aroma of its smoke pits is immediately in the front door. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and can choose a character in a divided second. Good flavor and portions. Que Crew 10 met Red Barn BBQ this week in our ongoing search for the best BBQ in the area! It is BYOB, but there is a goodie nearby if you like a cold beer with your BBQ. The service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is rustic but clean. The casual setting was perfect to kick back with a few beers with friends after completing our BBQ. The meat was very delicate. The brisket is well marinated and the ribs come clean from the bone. I also had something Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage that had food wort, but a little too cheeky for my pleasure. The chicken was a little dry, but still very tasteful.
