Refuge Du Nid D'aigle

We slept at the refuge with our 2 children and had a wonderful time. The tramway takes you there in an hour and the entire evening you're able to enjoy the mountains and the glacier. Capricorns grazing close to the refuge make it a unique experience. Very friendly gardienne and staff. A refuge is not a hotel, it is primitive. You need to adapt to life in the mountains. The mountains and it's refuges will not adapt to you (cfr past reviews). The food was excellent. Very nice stay altogether.

We eat over there a hot vegetable soup which i found ok. The guys up there are not the best hosts in the world but nor the worst. They are ok. It is a nice stop in the way to see the glacier and the crevases with the seracs.
