Two nights in a row we were lucky to experience very good, well-presented Austrian food in Rax. The difference between this restaurant and the other one is the decor, this one has a no charm, white pine tables 70-ish like. Besides this the food is really good and service was attentive. It is possible to ask the pumpkin soup in a bowl rather than the bread bowl - the bread bowl is cute but if you are not going to eat it, it is a big waste.We were four and every body was pleased with their plate.On the main road not far from the police station.
Had a very enjoyable meal here last night so we decided to return tonight. A large menu with many interesting options focusing on the traditional Austrian specialities - but with some flair. Preparation was flawless and the service was outstanding. Charming waitress helped us over the language barrier and remembered us from the previous evening. In all a most enjoyable experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Reichenau.
