República Empanada

this is a locally possessed gem in mesa! I always love to come here. it's such a mood. I feel like I've been transported to South America every time. it is a cute building on the corner of the 1st ave and s hibert, surrounded by art and plants. it's next to the farm house. on the back of the building is a parking space and a small parking space. they have digital menus, so be ready to scan the qr cose when they arrive. they have savory and sweet empanadas. they also have alcohol. today I have 2 savory empanadas the el capitan and boricua and a sweet, dizzy fig. Ok I am rating the dessert empanadas a 4!! I would come here for just dessert all of the ones we tried were sooooo good. My fave was the guava and cheese it was amazing. The savory empanadas were just ok to me. I wish they had specific dipping sauces for each of the flavors of the savory empanadas but they just gave a green salsa for all of them so it didn't go with some of the flavors. The green salsa was really good though : the restaurant is really cute and would be a good places for happy hour!

Um, are you serious?! Went there on 4th of July and damn that place is bomb diggity. First off, we went there to sign a petition for pro choice, and I appreciate how involved they are with social issues. Hats off to them for that! We ordered a couple beers and literally ordered 1 of everything!!! It was soooo good!!! I had to go and order more! I can't tell you which one is my favorite! I am definitely making my way back there again!
