Restaurant Alpenrose

This is a family hotel and luckily still open! I have been here years ago and I remembered how warm and nice the people and place is. Not only are you staying in one of the most incredible places but also Erika and Kurt were super helpful and friendly. They made us feel like we were at home. It is a very nice road getting here and you will find a lot of piece and an incredible environment. We are definitely coming back here and we hope it is still open because this is an amazing place!!

We went to eat here without the recommendation of our landlady (we are tourists) and we certainly wouldn't have visited this restaurant as it seems very hidden and inconspicuous. Inside, everything is very quaint and traditional and the owners take personal care of their guests. The game season was open and the mouflon and deer were excellent with huge portions. We can definitely recommend the restaurant.

Particular place a little out of the world, but special, above Lake Brienz!! Quiet place with div poss to go hiking. Mountain road, limit speed!! During game season we eat game, it's better to reserve!! Family atmosphere with rustic wooden room. Possibility to book. Well done staff, thanks for the hospitality

I loved my stay at Alpenrose. It was simple but really quaint. The service was friendly and the scenery was beautiful. It is a little off the beaten path but definitely worthwhile, I will definitely go back if wam in the area!

The hotel's location in Mount Watlou is excellent, and the owners manage it themselves and are very nice Excellent location on the mountain, very kind owners.
