Restaurant Carre Noir

This bar-restaurant is a shame in a gem like Santa Giulia's bay. The location is great, but it is an eye-sore in the middle of the villas of Bella Vista residence, since it looks more like a camping restaurant, than anything else. Service is terrible, with a very agressive owner. Food is mediocre. But the worse is the horrible concerts they are having in July and August 3 times a week. Not the nice accoustic concerts of Corsican guitar and songs one could expect : they have super noisy rock concerts and karaoke parties outside, plugged on loud speakers, and play until 2-3 am. This restaurant is connected to hotel Carre Noir, but is located 5 min away from the hotel, halfway down the hill towards Santa Giulia bay. Food in this restaurant is of good quality and taste and correctly priced. However, when we were there, there were only 2 other couples eating, so that there was not much ambiance. The restaurant area is next to a swimming pool, but the lights in the pool constantly changed colour and rythm, so that it got ennoying after a while. I think management should spent extra effort in bringing the restaurant to the same level as the hotel.

We went for dinner one evening. It is actually a large swimming pool annex bar and restaurant. Next to some people in the pool and at the bar, we were alone. Food quality was ok, but resturant class is pizza and a few steak dishes. Not really like the pictures like to make you believe

Take a stroll down to the beach. The restaurant is clean, the staff friendly, food is good and fairly priced. We had a giant cesar salad with great toppings and crusty pizza and red wine. The place seems to be more lively with cocktails and live music at the pool in summer time.

Menu de jour was fresh, tasty, and very good value. Very nice staff. We ate here twice and enjoyed the food both times. Unpretentious setting but honest offering
