Restaurant Croix Blanche

Located next to its prominent neighbour Hôtel de l 'Ours it would be a mistake to overlook this nice little restaurant. I enjoyed a very good dinner, in the cozy and intimate dining room. Staff can 't be more limited: the friendly chef works in the kitchen, while his wife performed an efficient service! Both were very attentive to the guests ' needs much appreciated. The menu is short and Swiss traditional, with focus on local fish (the house prouds itself on pike) and seasonal produce. As starter I chose the asparagus with wild garlic vinaigrette surprisingly served warm, but tasty nonetheless. As main course I had one of the house specialties: poached pike in a white wine sauce. If you are looking for the nice place to eat in the Vully region that is a little pearl hidden in Sugiez. Very well run by Marcel- who makes very nice home cooked meals, and his wife Tatiana that will look after you during your visit. The restaurant concentrate on fish specials (inc. Morat lake of course) but not only that; meat, local vegetables. All that finshed with glass of wine supplied by one of the Vully winegrower...hmmmm...

Despite it being lunchtime on a Friday, there were no cheaper lunchtime options, just the full expensive menu. I chose a starter as a compromise and had a salad smoked duck breast with fig mustard dressing for Fr.23. .. It was absolutely swimming in oil/dressing and only a small portion for the money. The local white wine was good and at a good price. The garden was a bit rough and ready. Go to the other restaurant nearby!

When staying in Murtensee area, you should not miss this friendly restaurant with amazing fish-specialised cuisine. But not only the fish, also fresh salads or other poultry or meat meals, home-made sauces and originally served sides, together with nice selection of local and other quality wines would make your experience unforgettable. Verified via several visits during last year and trully recommended.

I came there the first time based on Tripadvisor reviews and tried fried pike (it was recommended in the reviews) it was overcooked and dry I was not happy. I gave the place a second try and ordered the pike provencale this was really a very nice meal. They have a nice garden in the rear of the restaurant the diningroom is simple Servie was friendly
