Restaurant de l'Hotel du Port

We expected a simple, basic restaurant a the port of Decize, where my husband and I were staying on our barge. Instead, we found that the Restaurant du Port was highly sophisticated, with imaginative (but not overly fancy) dishes. The fish was particularly good, as one would expect. Everything was also beautifully presented, with very good vegetables and salads. The combination of the informal air and the sophisticated menu was very welcome, and the service was swift and attentive. There were also many children here, so families are definitely welcome.

Our friends invited to this restaurant to celebrate.. We had a reservation and had to wait for almost one our in order to the service just say hello, then again for the menu and of course a lot more to have our food on the table. Everybody said their food was Ok but my fish meniere was raw inside and had to ask to cook more and again it came a little raw. I would not go back there. But If you have 2 3 hours to spend and do not mind about the service ..... it is your choice.

Came across this restaurant as had moored my boat in the harbour. Much more convenient that the walk into Decize downtown so gave it a try. Nice terrace in the sunshine and friendly staff. Food good and reasonably priced. The whole port has been renovated in the last few years and this restaurant is a welcome addition.

We were there in evening. Good drinks and service. Had seafood and it was very good. Nice portions and presentation. Beautiful setting. Overlooking the boats on the canal. Walk behind to see the best views of the river!!!

The staff were run off their feet, even though we were the first guests of the evening` Food was ok but nothing special, although the profiteroles were very generous for 2 to share
