Restaurant Hotel Moselblumchen

We reserved a table in the restaurant and we are glad that we, because it soon filled. As part of my meal, I could make a salad from the salad bar. The choice was okay, but not really writing home. Also the salad bar area is not very welcoming and is located in a slightly illuminated area in the restaurant. My wife and I ordered two different meals and they were both excellent and possibly the best I had from the 5 restaurants we visited while in Bernkastel. It was left down that some of the employees run around with face masks that barely covered their nose and mouth and a waiter even wore a plastic shield that only covered his chin (not nice if he leans over you, the food served etc.). I have lived in Germany twice for a period of a total of 5 years. This place is around the corner from where we stay and we have 3 meals here, all authentic and exceptionally well prepared. No disappointments. Portions were so big that we had even shared a meal twice, and brought them back to our apartment to have later. Service was good and staff friendly. They were every time we have eaten there, so recommend a reservation only to be safe. Pighaxe was very good!!

vi kom till hotellet, som velvet är en restaurang, sent igår den 17 april. mottogs vänligts den sena timmen. hotellet ligget mitt i den lilla places med smala gränder och gator runt om. frukosten var mycket god och hotellet liksom restaurangen rekommenderas varmt.

We were looking for traditional German food. Moselblumchen offers that but there is better in this and surrounding towns. Our meat entrees were overcooked and we did not enjoy the service.

The food was good and cheap. Simple German food and service was good. I can recommend the Schinitzel!
