Went on a Friday evening and we were pretty much the only party... We ordered the deluxe sushi set (25$), the crab meal set, 2 tempura lunch sets and 1 sushi set. We also had the sweet shrimp sushi..The service was great and the surroundings beautiful (we were sitting by the window on a "traditional table"). However the food was just terrible. I regularly have sushi and this is just totally bland, no thoughts into the ratio of rice/fish etc. The tempura was worst than the one I make from home. I don't know how it's possible but it was soggy and yet dry.... The sashimi was cut all over the place...Anyway, it wasn't very good and it was expensive. You can have so many other choices. As I said t...

This has been one of my go to places for a sushi business lunch for years. Always found it to good food for a reasonable price. Was in here one lunch with client, on a particularly very busy day. I'll be short and to the point...they were totally and completely disorganized, slow and extremely rude. We waited and waited to be served. After about the third mention to the staff that we had not been waited on, one of the waiters actually grunted at us and totally dismissed us. We sincely had an unbelievably negative experience. After literraly sitting there for 20 minutes to even get someone to come to our table, we simply got up and left. Bottom line: Very, very disappointing.

Was a couple of years since my last stop to Takara. Setting is fine. Service is minimal. The menu is not totally clear (we have sushi regularly from a variety of places so I guess it is not our lack of knowledge). But the food is food-court level at the same price as high quality sushi. Tasteless. So why bother going there when you have one of the best sushi place on the same street or so? Might go back again...in a few years after I forget why I am not a regular of this place.

The restaurant is charging too much. I ordered the tsubaki sashimi, which includes 14 pieces for $22.
