Restaurant la Table de Saint-Vital

After a quick cycle round Mortain to check out the lunch situation, I decided to give this place a try great decision! Despite that fact I was dressed in lycra I was welcomed into the rather splendid dining room (crisp white tablecloths, sparkiling glasses etc) Decided to go for the Menu at 12.5 Euros another great decision and was treated to one of the best lunches I have ever had in France. No choice but that did not matter, 4 delicious courses, Entree, Plat, Cheese and Dessert plus a glass of good Vin Blanc all beautifully cooked and presented BARGAIN!! Highly recommended. We were staying in the area and had dinner here one night. It takes a bit of finding as it's in the Hotel De La Poste and there is no signage really for the restaurant! We had quite a decent meal and the staff understood my gluten-free diet. My wife had the fish and I had the lamb shank both of which we enjoyed.

Fantastic value for menu of the day . 4 courses plus wine or coffee. At today 's date 12.50 € . Lovely ambience and on a sunny day lunch on the terrace what more could you wish for. A must .

went there a couple of times already always very good quality for your money! very friendly staff! is part of the hotel de la Poste (with swimming pool! defintely a place to go!

We ate at this restaurant with several children. Service was very friendly. Food was good but a little bit pricey for the kids (minced meat steak and fries 10e). Worth a visit!
