We turned up at the hotel only to be told that they could not find our booking which I had made on the telephone some days in advance. I was worried that they would turn us away but the lady on reception was most hospitable...and worked quickly to explain the format for the evening and to find us a table. The restaurant was lively and busy with guests but the staff were most welcoming and looked after us with exceptional care and attention. We thought the menu for the evening was rather over priced at euros per person and were expecting something more exciting than we were given. we have gedimt in this restaurant several times during our stay in chatel and it was always a nice experience. the personal is really attentive and eating was always great. the restaurant is very beautifully decorated and the whole experience is. great they feel that they really care about eating and also taking care of them. they speak very well English, which was very helpful, as one of our group has a food allergy and they were only too happy to talk to the cook to make sure that eating was proper for them to eat. I would not have thought to recommend this restaurant. it is quite expensive, but as the saying says, they get what they pay!

a wonderful dinner with friends in a quiet and demanding atmosphere. first class aperitifs (the local beer is excellently served with plenty of warmth. the menu is sufficiently varied, with traditional savoiyard dishes to get out as well as the daily menu, that was the...reason we were there. delicious and colorful tomato buffalo salat, followed by a smoked aloyau steak unusual and tasty. sorbet to finish pineapple, another first for me. very imaginative menu for the gourmands. service impeccable, friendly, attentive and yet discreet. the wine list is also great. highly recommended. a luxurious ambiente in the beautiful hotel.
