Restaurant Les Funambules

The quality of the cooking, presentation, service and environment here is what I would expect in any decent suburban French restaurant. Just normal. There was nothing exceptional or memorable about any part of the experience. In fact aspects of the presentation and service were actually rather amateurish. I have no idea how this place was awarded a Michelin star. I don’t blame the restaurant, but the inspector must have been on their first trip out or had just come from a burger bar.

Absolutely delicious and creative cuisine! Visited one evening and had the surprise menu , which consisted of 4 dishes, all delicious and well presented. The cuisine is French with some Asian inspiration. We asked for a vegetarian meal ahead and it was excellent as well. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and friendly and recommended great wines. I can 't wait to go back!

This restaurant is not in the centre of Strasbourg but if you are in this neighbourhood don't miss it. It is a cut above the rest. The food is very interesting, mixing together ingredients from different parts of the world. The menu is good value for money. The restaurant is small but there is a lot of space between the tables.

We made a reservation after reading the reviews. That is necessary! But the system is easy and the answer is quick. We chose the 6 course menu together with the wine suggestions. This worked out together very well. Interesting food, local products and an excellent wine selection. Value for money!

Superb and delicious food. Tasty and original. The surprise with 4 plates for 42euros is Amazing. The tasting wines that go with are also surprising. The service is approachable and friendly. You need to go once!
