Restaurant Mer et Saveurs

It was 6pm on a Saturday in Granville and we hadn't booked a dinner table. Before we arrived in town we hadn't appreciated that it was boat show weekend in Granville and the place was rammed with visitors from all over France. Having seen this place's great Tripadvisor reviews, I wandered in off the street at 6.15pm to find they were fully booked. But they nevertheless offered us an early table at 7.15pm, to be finished by 9pm, which suited us fine and was very much appreciated by a hungry family of four.The location is unpromising - behind a large public parking area opposite the industrial fish shed on the port - and the restaurant looks small and not particularly special. A nice and modern place at Granville harbour. Classic local sea food, fish and others. But the chef make sur his best to revisit and revive these classics in a pretty modern way; i.e., different from Grand-Mother, however very good and tasty. Friendly welcome and good advises re food selection and wine.

Service is very friendly and the restaurant is welcoming. The portions are not big but sufficient which is what you expect from a gastronomical restaurant. The plates are nicely presented and the food is exquisite. I definitely recommend this place

Wonderful food and beautiful location. Excellent service and reasonably priced. Altogether a brilliant Sunday lunch. Will definitely return.

Visited on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty but oysters and other dishes were very good. Friendly service as well.
