Nigl - Reservar uma mesa

We came to Restaurant Nigl for a traditional Austrian, alfresco lunch in lovely surroundings. The restaurant location with the views of the vineyards and old Roman Ruins above could not have been a better backdrop to the classic, executed to perfection, Austria dishes from son, Bertram's kitchen. The Barlauch soup was the hit of the day followed closely by the Tafelspitz with Barlauch spinach and a couple fish dishes. The white wine was served cold & crisp. This famous wine producers now has a restsurant and small hotel at their location. The place is nice, well kept and very recommended for a special event. The food was delicious, the best beef tartar I ever had, the the crunchy fish "zander" was special. The dessert we had "romantic variarion" consisted of four different ones, we loved it! The wines are really special and worth to try for the wine lovers.

Only a Ten minute drive from Krems, but you feel like you are in the country. The food and service were perfect and the staff wear traditional, local garb. The castle ruins are just about this perfect little courtyard. My salad and carpaccio were all local and so very fresh. And the wines are produced on their onsite vineyard. Just breathtaking!

I am so happy we made a reservation at Nigl because it was unforgettable! The ambience, food/wine, and especially the service were outstanding. It is evident that they genuinely care that each person has a lovely dining experience. If you are in or near Senftenberg, do not miss this!

Had a great outdoors lunch with friends overlooking the Roman ruins. The food was amazing -particularly the fish- and the wine outstanding. On top of everything the service was very welcoming! We bought wines to take home with us.
