Restaurant Piraus in Wuppertal

The selection of Greek restaurants in Wuppertal is not fantastic. Lots of Greek/pizza combi places that serve up plates heaped high with questionable meats and greasy fries. Top it all off with some iceberg salad and cheap cocktail creme - yuck!Piraus is a delight of a completely different kind. The food is fresh! The retsina comes in bottles and different sorts and they don't do iceberg salad. The dining surroundings are clean, fresh and tastefully decorated - not the usual kitch dust-covered statues and dim lighting. The service by the owner is friendly, open and honest. He will engage you in discussions of different wines and ouzos - if you want to , but has good sense and is not intrusiv...

It serves excellent food! There is always a wide range of options for food and drinks. I wanted to go to a greek restaurant with a friend and we randomly chose this one. Since then it is our favourite. Also it's location is very convenient and the staff is super friendly! I was surprised that they speak German, Greek, English but other languages as well.

We were here for the first time today and were not disappointed. Very friendly staff and a very nice owner. Cosy ambience and a really fantastic food. This applies to all three courses. Very delicious. And the prices are really fair. We made an appointment for our wedding dinner.

If you are looking for a great Greek restaurant, look no more, you've found it.The Piräus offers friendly service, as well as excellent food.Try the dolmadakia, the best!!! As well as their metaxa sauce!I would give more than 5 stars, if I could!
