Restaurante Colmeia

I went to Portugal to bury my mom in the city where we are from. On August 9 2022 my wife and I were searching for a late snack. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by a bald-headed gentleman. When we informed him that we were not interested in having dinner but just a few appetizers he became rude. When bringing the food to us, he would just drop it on the table as if he couldn't be bothered. When we were just finished he hurried us off our table because others needed it for dinner. I will never ever go to this restaurant ever again when I go back to visit family.

Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant on two occasions both amazing experience! Firstly it is a very comfortable setting exactly what we were looking for. Exceptional clean and welcoming! Secondly the staff were awesome we had the pleasure of meeting the owner very charming and enthusiastic! Our waiter Johnny was exceptional, knowledgeable and extremely friendly and funny! Thirdly the food was so good we went back the second time, freshly cooked and very tasteful and reasonable- you just have to go!

Very nice restaurant right in the historic centre! The food was inexpensive, with large portions deliciously prepared and well presented. The waiter João was the best he moved an entire table from a group just to set it up aside for me, was constantly on top of things, checking if I was enjoying my meal or needed anything else. Great guy, great food, great location a genuine Portuguese experience, definitely to repeat!

Terrible!!! After 30 min waiting and asking twice we got the menu. After another hour we got the poor food and on top of it we didn’t even get what we ordered! Do not go there! They did drop the cutlery in my knee and did not even apologize. Really bad service, bad food and bad experience! Reserve uma mesa agora

My wife and I, we asked different dishes, both of us found it terrible, on my case very hard meat, old potato's etc. On my wife dish was fish and the complement was dry, old vegetable etc.. Never more !!

They have a delicious chicken burger. It has a slice of pineapple on it and the taste of chicken and pineapple is delicious. We went here twice already as I enjoy this sandwich very much.

Grande surpresa ao lado da Catedral de Viseu. Um monte de comida bem cozinhada e equipe super simpática aconselhando e até mesmo ajudando a trazer-nos para casa sobremesas.

Surprising dishes and flavours. Must do when in Viseu. Dining next to the historic city wall. Price quality is very good.
