I had to laugh at the other review...Any montrealer, current or ex, knows about this location..it is an institution! I grew up in montreal and have lived in a number of canadian cities as an adult, and let me tell you, when it comes to the "scoff", nothing compares to this site..we currently live in burlington ontario. For example, we went skiing a number of years ago at Smugglers Notch in Vermont and instead of cutting across New York, we went the longer way, so we could make a pit stop here, for the standard, deux hot dog all dressed, une michegin et une pattete..slather on the salt and vinager and presto, heaven!! This is more of an industrial area lunch counter than a restaurant. Somewhat like a chip wagon with four walls and a roof. There are stand up counters inside [no tables or chairs] and I believe in the summer there may be a piknik table or two outside. Forget the scenery, you are basically under a very busy elevated highway exchange.The food is fast serve burger and dog with the best made-on-the-premises french fries. [The double fried, soak through the bag kind] My recommendation is the Michigan with cheese, which is a dog & cheese in a bun with meat spaghetti sauce poured on it. Shake on some crushed chilies or paprika and enjoy. This is a great place to stop at on the way home from a night...

A small icon of a restaurant with ample parking that's a hit on every visit. Our Steamies were mouth watering with any of the condiments ordered. Our Frites were perfectly fried making it difficult to stop eating them especially since the portions are very big. A big hit with our group was the Poutine with hot peppers and sliced chicken. Unfortunate that they don't have indoor seating here but still enjoy coming here. Counter staff are friendly and efficient.

On our way to visit family & friends In Lasalle on Aug. 6th, we stopped at Lafleur's for our all dressed steamies, fries & a drink. They were as good as ever. Great service & fab dogs!
