After an 11 hour drive from The Aquitaine region we arrived in Mensil-Val at around 9pm, tired and hungry. We dropped our bags at the hotel and walked down to the seafront in the hope of getting a meal. Imagine our dismay, on getting there...and the sign outside saying Complet !! There didn't appear to be any other restaurants around within walking distance (we'd seen enough of the car for one day) so my husband went inside and asked if they had a table for 3. The restaurant was indeed very busy so we didn't hold much hope. But they were great, they asked us to wait just a few minutes while they cleared the table. It was such a relief. The main focus seemed to be the eat as much as you like...

I was expecting something better after the reviews on tripadvisor. we ordered the fish of the day that was a filet of fish without just a tasteless sauce on it with fries and some salat leaves. I had to give tons of salt to have at least some taste. others ate the bark that had a similar problem: no season at all. However, the staff was very nice and the quality of the meat and fish seemed good. Maybe it's good that the chef was on the way and someone jumps in, but we'll try definitiw something else next time. 20 years ago it could happen that she's medium on the French or Italian sea, today unfortunately this is the norm.

this restaurant is practically on the beach good ambiente and friendly welcome. not a large menu, but perfectly sufficient. most foods are cooked on an open fire grill style in restaurant and i svery tastefully. the wine list is sufficient. I would recommend booking... especially in summer I would like to eat here again.

fries were good, but I would rather eat my tormat instead of the entrecote that served them. explained that the meat was very hard, but waitresses did nothing with it. a scandal of our understanding. mustels with riders were good.

the restaurant has an excellent location, on the beach. the self-serviceable has relatiw good quality ingredients, the menu with the grilled meat is less delicious .good and friendly service.
