I made a dinner reservation on NYE and the place was packed as expected. Maybe it was just due to it being NYE, but the restaurant was very loud, to the point where it was hard to place orders with the waitress and hear what she was saying. My friends shared the feta mousse which comes cold (they expected it to be warm but still said it was tasty). I got the curried rice bowl which was different than I anticipated. I thought it would be a layer of rice, vegetables, and curry over the top. However, the curry was more like spices mixed into the rice. Still good and flavorful but sort of dry. We dined at this restaurant on Saturday evening before an event at the Stifel. Making a reservation through Resy was a breeze. The staff was very attentive, creating a relaxed atmosphere where some guests were dressed up while others were more casually attired. The farmhouse burger and chicken sandwiches were delicious, and the risotto balls were absolutely phenomenal—I could have easily eaten five more! The accompanying sauces were exceptionally flavorful. My husband ordered the Pommes as a side while I opted for a kale Caesar salad, which was delightful, and the fries were great too. We went dinner at Retreat Gastropub on a Saturday evening. I made a reservation using Resy and we were quickly seated at our table as soon as we arrived. They had a large cocktail menu with interesting twists on classic cocktails. For our meals I had the seared salmon and my girlfriend had the braised pork gnocchi. The food came out FAST which was a huge plus. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I liked the paprika aioli which accompanied it. I was looking for something new and different. This place more than met my expectations as my experience was delightful and delicious. I order the beet salad and shrimp tacos and both were amazing! I actually like beets but was very skeptical of how it would taste. So glad I tried it as I finish I thought about ordering a salad to go just to have one for the next day. The shrimp tacos were the best I ever tasted- need I saw more. The service was nice and the feel of the restaurant was just a chill vibe. I was able to enjoy a book while having dinner. I'm more of a pub guy than a gastropub guy. RG has a younger hipster feel. I looked at the menu and didn't see anything that looked good. Our waitress recommended the brussel sprouts appetizer (5/5), which was outstanding. The sauce was really good.I went with the chicken sandwich (4/5). I didn't want to like it because there were sprouts hanging off the ciabatta, but it was pretty good. The garnish complemented the sandwich well.I got the Parmesan fries (5/5), and they were the highlight of my meal. Pretty healthy amount of garlic, but not overpowering.I would choose a less healthy, greasier option, but the food was good.

Later, we returned for dinner, and I ordered the braided pork gnocchi. I love a good gnocchi, and this one did not disappoint. My only issue was that it was a bit too salty for my taste. I noticed the salt right away, but other than that, the ragù and gnocchi were mixed together exceptionally well. The service was fantastic; our server was very friendly and offered great suggestions from the menu. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere—it's not very large, but I definitely want to come back.

Party of 5 stopped by without a reservation. We sat at the bar. The cocktail selection is diverse and there’s something for everyone. The Three Toed Flamingo cocktail was delish. We shared the risotto balls which were great, but come only 2 to an order. The majority of our party ordered the Farmhouse Burger which did not disappoint. We will definitely return and order this burger again. Service was top notch, too.

Went for Happy Hour and experienced great food, service and atmosphere! The waitress was well informed about the drinks menu, making sure that I ended up with two drinks I really liked. I liked this place, im just being picky but totally recommend. Wings were a lil different for me, I did not care for the greek yogurt instead of ranch, and my fries were clearly a lil old. Portobello burger was great n the drinks were unique n tasty.Food: 4/5

Everything we tried was fantastic! The farmhouse burger, Brussels sprouts, and salmon were all delicious. It was quite busy on a Sunday night, but the lively atmosphere and friendly service made it enjoyable. Food rating: 5/5.
