We (an older middle-aged couple) stayed there in 2018 8. July in the late evening. About 20 guests were on the terrace. The only waiter led a attentive and professional service to his best. After we sat, it took only 1 minute to get the menu cards. 5 minutes later we got our drinks and we could order the dishes. About half an hour later our dinner was served: wild boar ragout, roasted dumplings and cranberries in an apple halve. I have been here several times in the summer as well as in the winter time as I live not that far away. My last visit was just a week ago. Christmas decoration including a huge lightened Christmas tree on the terrace added to the welcome and cosy feeling you already have when you enter this restaurant. Venison belongs to the specialty this time of the year and I was told by my friends (I am vegetarian) that was very tender and tasty. Warm apple cider is recommended.

We recently discovered that this great place is just a few minutes walk from our house, since we stopped every week. The staff is very friendly and accommodating; but it is a great place to heat hearty traditional dishes. You can see the handmade dishes and everything we had so far is super delicious. And now that the German summer shows its colder side, it is still a great place to sit outside, enjoy fresh air good food.

The restaurant is located in an ideal place for a hot summer evening, but let yourself be by too few employees (considered age to order / eat / pay) and average meal of the Schnitzel was extremely inspiring. Total: disappointing.

Good traditional German meal choices, lovely relaxed setting, friendly service, good value meal, loved the schnitzel and fried potatoes, my husband enjoyed the Nuremburg sausages
