When you have a family with a variety of dietary requirements and preferences - and your undrstanding of the local language isn't great, it is easy to stick to the familiar - like a pizzeria. We stumbled across this little gem down an alleyway and a quick check on TripAdvisor suggested it's was worth a try.We struggled with the menu for a bit then the staff member suggested e take the "fusion platters " - one vegetarian and one not - each for 2 people.What a culinary sensation! Went here on recommendations from TripAdvisor. Lovely little restaurant in a beautiful old laneway. We had a share plate (for two) which gave you a little taste of everything. We were unsure what to expect from Portuguese cuisine and I found it was tasty and full of flavour. Their menu is primarily vegetarian based and our favourites were the polenta and mushroom and the potato dish. If you don't like lots of legumes, this is probably not your place. Overall a lovely meal with drinks, entree and share plate for a little under 50 euros. The lady serving was helpful and friendly. Worth going to if in Klagenfurt.

We found this a brilliant alternative to the traditional gastropub fare in Klagenfurt. Delightful Portuguese wines and delicious tapas, kind and welcoming service, great live music (on the night we were there) and a fantastic atmosphere. This was an outstanding find in Klagenfurt.

OMG, one of the best meals I've ever had. I ordered the selection of tapas that was nothing but great. The selection of taste, sensations, smells and aromas was incredible. Big plus: Portuguese beer! Even the staff was wonderful. You need to... Ricardo if you're in Klagenfurt!

lovely portuguese Restaurant, with a tasteful range of Tapas. if you like Tapas and a nice bar to hang out, Ricardos is your place.
