riccardo's italian restaurant

It was the delicious smells emanating from this place that attracted our attention while strolling through Amherstburg. We discovered this casual, unassuming restaurant with the open kitchen, which served up outstanding, delicious Italian fare! Therice balls were great, and wish they bottled their house made salad dressing! It was a toss up between which was better, thelunchtime veal scallopini or the veal parmigiana as both excellent and so reasonably priced. Really excited for their patio toopen in the warmer weather as their water front location is beautiful. Worth the short drive along the River from Windsor! Adefinite do-over!

Average food, nothing extraordinary. The buns brought out for starters were not fresh nor home made, including the butter that was packaged. From a highly rated Italian restaurant i would have expected home made bread with home made butter, similar towhat you can get in Windsor. Pasta was regular pasta from any grocery shop and sauce also tasted like one from acan/bottle. Meat was okay, but nothing extraordinary. I?d rate it as a pub, not a restaurant.

Beautiful location- is just the beginning and a very small part of it! Great pasta collection, flavorful delectable, as is their smoked fish which is so well cooked. Wonderful servers, friendly and knowledgable. Lots of seating space, beautiful patiooverlooking the Navy Yard historical site and Detroit river. The sunset is beautiful from there. A must visit

Riccardo's was the venue for my daughter's baby shower. I was extremely pleased with all they provided for us... food as always was delicious! Whether a luncheon, dinner or a special gathering, the personal attention you receive and ambiance youexperience while dining at Riccardo's Italian Restaurant is perfect for any event you might need to host.

I loved this place.. lovely staff.. greate atmosphere.. live music.. food and drinks were amazing.. can't wait to go again.. You might need reservation before coming.
