Rickey Meche's Donut King

Placed an order for a king cake recently, shipped to Houston . I have had Meche’s king cakes before and they are amazing. Unfortunately, while beautifully packaged and presented , the cake itself was very dry and tasteless. I ordered the Bavarian cream and there were only a few spots on the inner perimeter where a few teaspoon of the cream was placed. Normally the cream is in the center of the cake and oozes out when you bite into the cake. Very dissatisfied and a waste of $45. Next time, I will stick with Rouses in Lake Charles whose shipped product is as good if not better than buying in person.

These are literally the best king cakes I’ve ever eaten in my life! Highly recommend!!! I could eat one every single day! Most amazing cakes ever!!! ????

friendly staff! but in the years something has changed. the taste is definitiw there, but the donuts have become more dough-y than we are used to.

Definitely would recommend, we drive 45 miles one way to get donuts and King Cakes
